I attended a birthday party on the weekend up in Maleny, Qld and I met Dirk.
Dam cute kid and super interested in my camera. As soon as I pulled it out he wanted to play with it. He’s 18 months old and couldn’t really work out what the camera did, but he enjoyed pressing the many buttons and twisting the knobs.
I loved his constant facial expression of “Wow, thats new and exciting!.” He was a constant reminder for all of us to enjoy the amazement of the things that we’re doing right now. Live in the moment.
After reading all about the Help-Portrait movement in December of 2009, I wanted to contribute. As a form of thanks to Dirk and his mother for the wonderful shots, I’ll be sending a copy to them.
